About the Neighborhood
This Buenos Aires vacation apartment is located in Palermo, the largest and most fashionable neighbourhood in the city. On Saturday mornings, just out the door, there is an incredible farmer’s market where you can find the freshest produce, the best meat, and incredible cheeses. On Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday the park is lined with artisans selling everything from leather goods, independent designer fashion, artwork, jewelry, to antiques. Palermo is both hip and elegant with trendy restaurants and boutiques dotted amongst the embassies, mansions and renovated casas chorizos (typical Spanish-style housing). The lovely Bosques de Palermo (Palermo Woods) are the city's 'green lungs' and act as a pleasure ground on the weekends, especially for families. Other attractions in Palermo include the Japanese Gardens, Galileo Galilei`s Planetarium, the Botanical Gardens and the city’s Zoo.
